KPI

Introduction

In this section it is possible to configure the KPIs that are shown, as data input, copy or consolidation, in SIM1, SIM2, SIM3, SIMSF and SIM5 boards.

The hierarchy to group and sort the KPIs in all the SIM board is the following:

Category -> KPI Group -> KPI Name

Users can define the sorting of Categories and KPI.

In KPI configuration, you can manage the available KPIs. To define the KPIs the steps are:

  1. Define a new Group.

  2. Define the types of KPI associated with a specific Group.

  3. Associate a KPI with a specific SIM.

Plant Configuration - Plant KPI - Groups

In KPI Group configuration, it is possible to:

  • Define the name and the description of KPI Groups.

  • Associate them with a Category.

  • Activate or deactivate the KPI groups.

System KPI Groups are shown in grey and italic font, and can not be deleted.

  1. Add or Edit the KPI Groups. You can use double-clicking to edit.

  2. Flag to activate the KPI group.

  3. Complete the popup by selecting one of the predefined Categories.

In KPI configuration, it is possible to:

  • Define the name and the description of each KPI.

  • Associate them with a KPI group.

  • Define the aggregation rule for KPI consolidation (sum or average).

  • Define if the KPI value has to be under or over the target to be considered fulfilled (red or green value in the SIMs).

  • Define the unit of measure.

  • Define the sorting inside the KPI group. If not existing, they will be sorted by alphabetical order.

  • Define if the value has to be propagated in the future SIMs (automatic value).

  • Activate or deactivate the KPI groups.

System KPIs (for Ideas, actions and 5S) are shown in grey and italic font, and can not be deleted.

It is possible to add new KPIs via Excel file.

  1. Add or Edit the KPI. You can use double-clicking to edit.

  2. Flag to activate the KPI.

  3. Select the KPI Group.

  4. Choose the aggregation rule average or sum.

  5. Select the target.

  6. Define the unit of measure.

In the SIM KPI Configuration sections, KPI are associated with the different SIMs .

At SIM1 level there is a direct association SIM-Line/Cell, while for the other SIMs there are 3 types of KPIs available:

  1. Base: The KPI generated in the specific SIM.

  2. Linked: The KPI consolidated with the values and targets of the same KPI inserted in the lower SIM.

  3. Copy: The copy of a KPI generated/calculated in another SIM, without consolidation.

For SIM1 KPI Configuration, 2 views are available:

  • SIM1 – KPI Configuration by Line view

In this view, it is possible to associate a line with one or more KPI.

  • SIM1 – KPI Configuration by KPI view

In this view, it is possible to associate a KPI with one or more lines

  1. View the KPI by Line or by KPI.

  2. Select the Production Line cell.

  3. View the KPI type Base (Shift) or Linked (Previous Shift).

  4. Click to open the popup and select the KPI.

SIM1 allows to:

  • delete an association

  • deselect the KPI

  • deselect the Line inside the details,

  • deselect the Line from the VIEW BY LINE selecting the KPI and using the Delete button.

Changes will be effective in SIM1 from the day after the deletion.

For SIM2 KPI Configuration, only a single view by Production Area is available.

New KPIs are added using the Add KPI button.

Accessing the Add KPI dialog, DLMO shows the existing KPIs defined for the first Category in the list.

For Base KPIs, it is required to select the Category and the KPI name. It is possible to define an Alias (name that will be shown in SIM2). Base KPIs values will be inserted manually in SIM2.

To define a Copy KPI from another SIM, the DLMO application will require different fields depending on the source SIM.

  • Production Area and KPI example, in case of copy from another SIM2.

  • KPI example, in case of copy from another SIM3.

  • Department and KPI example, in case of copy from SIMSF.

In all the cases, DLMO allows defining a specific name (Alias) for the copied KPI.

These are the Copied KPIs that are allowed:

  • SIM3 with SIMSF KPI

  • SIM3 with SIM2 KPI

  • SIM SF with other SIMSF KPI

  • SIM SF with SIM2 KPI

  • SIM SF with SIM3 KPI

  • SIM2 with other SIM2 KPI

  • SIM2 with SIM SF KPI

  • SIM2 with SIM3 KPI

It is possible to query to which line (all or some) the KPI is associated with by expanding the row with the icon .

It is possible to edit or delete an association of a KPI in SIM2 using the Edit or the Delete option on the button.

KPI in the SIM2 will be shown for 7 days after its deletion in KPI configuration.

Plant Configuration - Plant KPI - KPI Configuration - SIM3

In SIM3 KPI Configuration, the same concepts of base, linked and copy KPIs (Production level) as SIM2 are applied. They are managed as described for SIM2.

If a SIM shows weekly data, the KPI in the SIM will be shown for 7 days after its deletion in KPI configuration.

Plant Configuration - Plant KPI - KPI Configuration - SIM5

In SIM5 KPI Configuration, the same concepts of base, linked and copy KPIs (Plant level) as SIM2 are applied. They are managed as described for SIM2.

If a SIM shows 4 weeks data, the KPI in the SIM will be shown for 4 weeks after its deletion in KPI configuration.

Plant Configuration - Plant KPI - KPI Configuration - SIMSF

In SIMSF KPI Configuration, the same concepts of base, linked and copy KPIs (Department level) as SIM2 are applied. They are managed as described for SIM2.

If a SIM shows weekly data, the KPI in the SIM will be shown for 7 days after its deletion in KPI configuration.
